Abstract

The pressure-sensitive diaphragm is for use in a pressure switch and has a domed disc-shaped region (31) capable of snapping from convexity toward one side to convexity toward the other side of the diaphragm. At its periphery the diaphragm has an annular lip (29) for being secured to fixed structure. To improve the resistance of the diaphragm to cracking at the periphery of the dome, the shape of the diaphragm includes a cylindrical or conical portion (30) between the periphery of the dome and the inner diameter of the lip.
