Abstract

The boot-tree consists of two arms (1, 2) which are held separated by a spring (13), when in use. The lower extremities of the two arms are shaped to fit the shape of the instep (3) and heel (4) of the boot and are joined to two plates (5, 6) which can slide together. The plates have a flat profile transversely and a longitudinal profile in the arc of a circle. One of the plates (6) has two projections (12) which slide is corresponding grooves in th e other plate (5).
