Abstract

The assembly combines a dosage applicator and an aerosol container. The applicator includes a tubular member partially closed at one end to define an opening for discharging its contents. A piston slides between a first position adjacent to the discharge opening and a second position adjacent to the opposite end of the applicator. The piston member has a passage through it. An aerosol container has a body adapted to be moved into and out of the applicator. The container has valve means attached to one end, the valve means including a projecting valve operator member angularly movable, between a normally closed position and an open position in which contents of the container are expelled. The container and the projecting valve operator member are angularly movable relative to each other when the piston member is in the second position whereby the contents of the aerosol container are fed into the applicator. The contents of the applicator are then expelled when the piston member and the container attached to it are moved to the first position.
