Abstract

The therapeutic bath for massage during immersion comprises two symmetrical half-shells (1, 2) with a bottom at different levels (a, b, c) to allow movement of the patient when standing, sitting or lying down. When assembled, the half -shells form a horizontal contoured opening, narrowed at the centre to correspond with the waist of the patient. The latter can thus make a large number of extensive limb movements and the attendant has maximum access. Beneath each level is provision for filling, draining, filtration and pressurisation of the water. There can be a spigoted joint between the two halves, which are of plastic a sealing joint being inserted between the spigot flanges.
