Abstract
The protective arrangement for two tubes (1, 2) connected by a flexible bellows (3) of conventional construction, which still allows relative angular movement between the tubes, includes a sleeve (4) completely enclosing the bellows. This can be retained by four rods (5) equally spaced around the sleeve. Each rod is hairpin shaped, and passes through a hole (4a) in the sleeve, allowing sufficient clearance to prevent jamming. The parallel ends of each rod can then be attached e.g. to fins (6) projecting from the surface of the tubes. In an alternative design, the U-rod passes through holes in fins projecting from the collar itself.
