Abstract

Fixing device is for setting stretched claddings on indoor walls, esp. of the type where edge retainers are interchangeably held at the edge of a covering unit. There are two mutually complementary retainer bracket components (50, 51). One of these is slot carrier, for attachment to the outer fines of the wall (1), disappearing into the wall surface. The other is a covering retainer, for laying against the wall surface, fitted with a retaining tongue (52) or edge, by means of which it is inserted into the slot (53) in the first component. The slot carrier may be U-shaped or L-shaped in section - in the latter case with a serrated top - sitting on the top edge of the wall enabling cladding to be applied to any sort of wall, easily and without recourse to special tools.
