Abstract

The file is formed with a device arranged in each case in the region of the top and of the bottom edge of the file for suspending the file on two parallel carrying rails. Each device has a base plate (1) which is fastened to the file cover bearing the indexing device and has a leg (2) bent off at right angles and a slider mounted on the base plate (1) such that it can swivel about an axis perpendicular thereto. When being swivelled the slider bears with its arched back (12) and a cam provided thereon against the bent-up leg (2). In the swivelled-out position it engages with the edge of a web parallel to the base plate (1) in a cutout of the leg (2) serving as a stop. In the swivelled-in position, after exceeding the dead centre of the cam, it bears with its sliding face (7) resting on the suspension rails against a tongue (3) bent up out of the base plate (1).
