Abstract
A sampling and storing information system relates to electrical signals. Information is represented by min. and max. amplitudes of the signal during a sampling period. An analogue/digital converter processes the information and the digital data is stored. The A/D converter is preferably of the amplitude-time type with a constant current generator and a pair of digital counters which give at their outputs the digital values of the highest voltage reached and the difference between this and the lowest value. A data processing unit may be inserted between the A/D converter and the digital memory with digital comparator circuits to determine the max. or min. values assumed by the input signal over a given number of sampling intervals.
