Abstract

Non-woven materials, paper, cardboard, etc. are produced by deposition of fibres, from a gas-fibre mixt. on to a moving endless felt in a chamber provided with a separate aspiration device. The walls of the chamber are hollow and gas is passed through holes in them to prevent contact of the fibres withthe chamber walls. Electrostatic charging of the fibres is prevented and consequent flocculation causing non-uniformity in the prod. Higher rates of prodn. can therefore be used.
