Abstract

An injection mould for box-type containers, partic. to carry bottles, has a base plate and corner cores, one inner core moving relative to the base, and four sides which move outwards at an acute angle to the base when opening/closing the mould; to mould double walls round a space in the sides which are parallel to the main walls of the container, sliding members at the sides and vertical to the walls have control and moving elements, by means of which these members only move out of the space after those parts of the mould open. Produces moulded containers with stiffened sides without significantly increased production costs.
