Abstract

Stations can transmit and/or receive. The cable is a unidirectional transmission line forming a closed loop and more than 3% hybrid circuits are allocated to the stations. Each hybrid circuit has two input terminals for insertion into the loop, and there is one input and one output terminal. Each station is connected by its output to the hybrid circuit input terminal, and it may be connected by its input to the hybrid circuit output terminal. The transmitted data are frequency multiplexed, and the hybrid circuits may be connected in cascade.
