Abstract

An electric cable has one or more electrical conductors covered by a sheath of insulating material. The sheath has an external flat surface and this surface is covered, partially or completely, by a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive. The outside of the adhesive layer is protected, before use, by a strip of flexible material. This strip is only lightly stuck to the adhesive layer and it can easily be removed by peeling. The system is particularly for surfaces to which attachment may be difficult, such as concrete or fragile partitions.
