Abstract

The segmented spacer for a hollow concrete wall incorporates two lugs facing in opposite directions with heads against the outside of a sheathing slab on each side, and passing through the slabs. Between the slabs the lugs have transverse holes through them, for insertion of the arms of a U-shaped shallow wire loop which holds the two lugs together. The arms run parallel to the wall along the inside of the associated sheathing slabs (1, 2). Each of the lugs (3, 4) incorporates a longitudinal groove (11, 12) for fitting round the stem of the wire loop. The spacers are simple in construction and effectively check slab movement over the whole surface.
