Abstract

The fruit picker consists of a hoop (1) and a tubular sleeve. The hoop (1) is joined at one side to a pole and has two forked arms (4, 5) extending across its top opening. The arms are hinged on an axle (6) parallel to the plane of the top opening of the hoop and can pivot downwards. Round the bottom of the hoop, on the outside, is a groove (8) in which is placed a rubber ring. The top opening of the sleeve is gripped between the groove and the ring. The sleeve is made of thin flexible material. The length of the sleeve and pole depend on the height of the tree.
