Abstract
901,812. Picking fruit. EVERITT, W. E. April 4, 1960 [April 3, 1959], No. 11374/59. Class 6(3). A fruit-picking device comprises at least two, but preferably four, curved fingers 1 supported on a ring 4 at the top of a handle 3, the length of which is adjustable. Also attached to the ring 4 is a long, tubular sleeve 2 of synthetic or textile material for catching the fruit plucked by the fingers 1. In order to protect the fruit from bruising, both the fingers 1 and the ring 4 are either moulded from a synthetic resin material, or, if metallic, are covered with such a synthetic material.
