Herbicidal ureas, disclosed in the parent patent, are of formula (I) (where R1 and R2 are each H, Cl, Br, NO2, CF3, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy; n is 0 or 1; X is alkyl opt. substd by halogen or a nitrogen-contg. heterocycle opt. contg. >=1 other heteroatom; Y is H, 1-4C alkyl or S-Z; Z is a nitrogen-contg. heterocycle opt. contg. >=1 other heteroatom; the arrows from S to the O indicate that the grouping is either a sulphoxide or sulphone). The patent of addn. claims specif. N-mthyl N-isopropyl thio N'-phenyl urea, N-(2-chloroethyl thio (N'-(3,4-dichloro phenyl) urea, N-methyl N-n-butyl thio N'-(4-isopropyl phenyl) urea, N-methyl N-isopropyl thio N'-(3,4-dimethyl phenyl) urea and N-methyl, N-n-butyl thio N'-(3,4-dimethyl phenyl) urea.
