Abstract

The endless conveyor belt is for use on a vehicle transporting concrete to site and folds to keep the overall vehicle dimensions within the loading gauge specified by the law. It is in three or more sections hinging together, each with supporting rollers for the belt. The lowermost section slews on a vertical axis. The vertical slewing spindle works in a bearing (10) fixed to the vehicle chassis (1), and a yoke (7) fixed to the spindle supports the lowermost section directly. The bearing can be at the rearmost point on the vehicle, to give maximum outreach for the conveyor.
