Abstract
The ionising radiation detector of X-ray equipment has series-connected processing elements of output signal for each of several measuring fields. The contrast of X-ray pictures is detected to prevent defective film exposures. The detector comprises a summation former for a summation element corresponding to the sum of all output signals of the measuring fields. A calculation element forms a difference signal which corresponds to the difference between the longest and the shortest output signal of the measuring field. A division element divides the difference signal by the summation signal.
