Abstract
An electrolytic cell for a swimming pool sterilisation plant producing chlorine from a common salt concn. of 3,000 ppm in the water from the filter, has a long housing with caps at each end. At least one cap can be removed, and has a water inlet, a water outlet being provided in the other cap. Electrically conductive terminals extend through and are fixed to, the removable cap end or side, to support the electrodes of platinum-coated braided, titanium alloy wire. At least two electrodes are attached to each terminal. Saves the work necessary to remove the whole of the fastening arrangement, and permits the whole of the electrode to perform the electrolytic function.
