Abstract

The machine stands on a base (2) which has a main pillar (1) at one end. The pillar carries a fixed sleeve (5) which supports a moving sleeve (4). The moving sleeve is able to move up and down the pillar in between stops by means of a rack and pinion mechanism (6). This is operated by the lever (7). The sliding sleeve is returned to the top position by a control spring. The sleeve carries a shrink head (11) which is able to fit over the article being wrapped (3). The head receives a supply of hot air which is guided through baffles and through air holes in the central cylinder which envelopes the article.
