Abstract

The electric alarm clock has a quartz oscillator (1), connected to a frequency divider (2) for supplying pulses to a stopping motor (3) driving the clock mechanism (4). The clock also has an electro magnetic alarm source (5) which is supplied with AC via a time switch (7). This alarm source (5) is connected to the output of the frequency divider (2). Pref. a manual selector switch (8) allows the alarm source (5) to be connected to one of several outputs of the frequency divider (2), this selector switch (8) being connected in series with the time switch (7). An amplifier may be connected between the alarm source (5) and the selector switch (8).
