Abstract

Artificial grass panels, designed for use on sports grounds etc. They have an assembly mechanism which is especially useful on uneven ground because it prevents the panels from becoming loose, whilst at the same time retaining the desired amount of flexibility. Each panel has a base (1) with bristles (2) resembling blades of grass and holes (3) drilled in it. On its sides, the base has hinges (4), each with a small tongue (9). The assembly elements on the various sides of the panel are arranged so as to be complementary and the tongues have small protrusions (10) which can be inserted into the holes on each panel. For additional security, a pin (8) can be inserted into the hinge, locking two panels firmly together.
