Abstract

A tractor attachment for making artificial manure comprises two vertical side frames which roll along the ground to carry a cross beam over a bed of stable litter. The beam is fitted with a vertically displaceable pressure member to compress the stable litter which is simultaneously sprayed with a liq. from nozzles on the side frames and/or the cross beam. The pressure member is a horizontal, cylindrical container, pivotally mounted about its axis of revolution at a height adjustable above the ground. The two side frames are roller mounted for ground travel and liq. for the spray nozzles is supplied from the containers. The two side channels are pref. adjustable on the two branches of a forked cross beam in order to adjust the height of the cylinder which is pivotally mounted between the branches. The fork link between the branches is made to couple to a conventional to wing linkage of a pedestrian or rider controlled tractor. In addition to its prime purpose of mfg. artificial manure, the attachment can now be quickly adapted for a number of agricultural operations. In partic. it can be used for waterline seed beds, spraying liq. fertiliser, weed killer or insecticide, transporting liqs., breaking up clods of earth on ploughed land etc.
