Abstract

The rehabilitation equipment is in the form of a bicycle, with a pedal mechanism driving in a wheel, against which a braking roller can be pressed with a variable force using a screw adjustment. The rotary adjusting screw (26) has a graduated scale from a zero position representing no resistance from the braking roller (13). The scale gives a direct reading of the effort to be exerted by the user on the pedals (7) to overcome the roller resistance. The scale can be a round dial fixed on the chassis (1) concentric to the hand adjusting wheel (26), which has a finger moving over the dial.
