Abstract

The remote control system uses an electrical cable (1) buried in the area where the machine is to be used. This cable is used to guide the machine along the route of the cable (1). The cable is supplied with AC with is detected by a solenoid mounted on the machine. The cable (1) can also be used to pass control signals to the machine, which is equipped with a signal detector. These signals are produced by a computer (3) having a programme and a memory, and which receives information from detectors (4, 5, 6). The orders sent from the computer (3) are transmitted to a converter (7) which controls an oscillator (8) which send to the cable (1) control pulses which are superimposed on the guidance supply emanating from the source.
