Abstract

The elevator frame has two side plates or rails (3) kept apart at the required distance by tie bars (6). The pulleys and mobile parts of the elevator are carried on the tie bars. The lower section of the elevator terminates in two quadrant plates (1) which match similar plates (2) on the lower part of the next elevator section. The quadrants are fixed together at a pivot (5) and finally bolted into position by bolts in the arc (11) which allows the angle of the upper elevator section to be varied. The connecting bars (9) are bent under the clips (10) and bolted firmly to the lower section.
