Abstract

The headlight unit has a hinged suspension at the top part of the headlamp body. At the bottom the headlight unit is fitted with socket and joint with a threaded extension. The threaded extension is screwed into a tapped hole of the push rod which has a spring pressing it into continuous contact with the curved surface of disc cam. The disc cam has three distinct curve sections corresponding to three available positions of the beam adjustment by the multi-contact switch. The disc cam is fitted to a shaft and carries a toothed wheel meshing with gears and a pinion on the electric motor.
