Abstract

Vaccine comprising a conjugate of compatible immunogenic carrier and a prepn. of human chorionic gonadotrophin beta, the prepn. not having gps. which would react strongly with anti-LH serum. The vaccine is specif. a conjugate of tetanus anatoxin and human chorionic gonadotrophin beta which has been purified immunochemically by reaction with polymerised heterologous anti-LH sera before conjugation to eliminate the gps. capable of reacting strongly with anti-LH sera. The vaccine is used as a contraceptive for women which has a minimum of side-reactions with other endogenous hormones which can be admin. by medical auxiliaries and which only requires a periodic complementary treatment.
