Abstract

An additive for mortar and concrete contains a polysaccharide of mol. wt. 400-4000 and has a carboxylic gp. content of 2.5125 wt.%. It has a strongly plasticising effect on the mortar or concrete while increasing the strength, water proofness and frost resistance of the set prod. The additive does not give rise to micro- or macropores on the mortar or concrete so that these can be pumped.
