Abstract

A vehicle safety velt buckle is in two parts, the inner or sliding portion (2) being attached to the outer or top portion (1) by a rivet (3). The sides of the outer portion are turned down to form flanges (1a, 1b) these being grasped when adjusting the belt. This permits free movement between parts. One end (8) of the belt is passed through a slot in the inner portion and secured. The other end (5) passed through a wider slot, over a bar on the outer portion and back through the same slot. Tension traps the belt to retain it.
