Abstract
A vessel for dividing liquid-vapour streams comprises a liquid-vapour stream inlet and at least two inwardly extending perforated outlet pipes whose inlet ends are shielded from the liquid component of the stream. The vapour component enters the inlet ends of the pipes and remixes with the liquid that has entered via the pipes perforations. The vessel is for use esp. with a multi-pass heat exchanger system used, for example, in hydrocarbon conversions.
