Abstract

The four wheels of the vehicle's chassis run on the bottom of the swimming-pool. The axles of the two wheels at one end of the vehicle are mounted on a fork forming part of a lengthwise pivoting shaft. Each side of the vehicle has an electric reducing-gear driving a wheel through a notched belt passing over a driving-cog-wheel and a driven cog-wheel. An endless chain joins the two wheels on each side of the chassis, and pass over a driving and a driven pinion. The brushes are positioned on one end between two wheels, and are fixed beneath the pump. A nozzle with tapering-out bottom, ends in a flexible flap. Inside the nozzle is a transverse brush held on the pool-bottom by means of springs on vertical rods. The pump is positioned vertically above the brushes. The discharge outlet of the pump is connected to a horizontal main filter-supply-duct divided into crosswise ducts.
