Abstract

The traffic circulation system for motorways has the motorway lanes divided into different lane groups, which are separated from one another by barrier walls. Each of the lane groups has different maximum speed limit imposed. The lane groups may be used for carrying traffic in two opposite directions, with a central accident barrier between them. Each vehicle using the traffic system may be required to carry an indication at the front and back of the maximum speed at which the driver is permitted to travel. The speeding of other vehicles may be recorded by a camera carried by each vehicle using the traffic system.
