Abstract

The guide sleeve is for use on the pivot shaft (6) for the shoe of a vehicle drum brake. The shaft has straight (7) and threaded (8) portions joined by a frustoconical portion (10), the sleeve having bores (14, 15) joined by a furstoconical portion. A lock nut (9) holds the sleeve in place against a wall portion (2) of the drum. The outer surface of the sleeve is stepped to hold the brake shoe web (3) against the wall of the drum.
