Abstract
A sealing joint has a base element of graphite and carbon fibres. The base element is surrounded, or partly surrounded, by compressed graphite. The seal can be ring shaped or a rectangular strip. The base element is typically 2mm thick and the graphite outer layer 0.5 mm thick.
