Abstract

The split (2) bolt has an eyelet (3) fashioned in its head (4) and is for securing fencing wires to concrete posts. The fencing wire is contained by the eyelet. The bolt shaft (1) is inserted in a preformed hole in the concrete post. Circumferential saw tooth ribs on the bolt shaft engage the walls of the post hole to inhibit bolt extraction. The split (2) shaft (1) enables the bolt to pass over the wire at post locations rather than threaded the length of the wire. The bolt split may be opened in order to insert the wire in the eyelet. The split is then closed and the bolt driven into the hole in the post.
