Abstract

The modular filing unit is for perforated documents, and comprises strips (1) fixed to the individual files, and pin blocks (3a, 3b, 3c) sliding on the strips, the pin pitch being a multiple of that of the holes in the documents to be filed. The blocks can be plain or with opening pins to aid manipulation of the documents, and they have slides working in conjunction with complementary ones on the strips. The packet of papers is held tight by a tilting or lyre-pattern clamp working in conjunction with the pins, and the blocks have locking devices to prevent them sliding in the strips.
