Abstract

The paper sheet sorting machine has compartments into which the sheets are diverted by flaps on each as desired. Operation of the flaps is controlled by a photoelectric cell (17, 18) below them and common to all compartments. The cell regulates the operation of electromagnets rotating the flaps. The upper part (2) of the machine can be detached from the lower part (1). The upper part includes the flaps and the lower one the compartments. The rear edges of the sheets falling into the compartments can control the operation of the flaps, which can be mounted between the motor-driven transport rollers, below which they lie when in the closed position, while their leading edges protrude above them when in the inclined position opening the compartments.
