Abstract

The permanently fitted stopper is for a metallic tube container, for use with viscous liquids. The device is in the form of a one piece moulded plastic cap fitted over an extension of the metal tube. The plastic cap has a reduced thickness section and an extension by which the reduced thickness part can be torn off. There is a hole in the metal tube extension, and the liquid is poured through the two holes. The plastic cap is fixed permanently on the tube by internal circumferential ridges which engage in corresponding grooves on the tube. The cap can be rotated, so that the holes in the cap and the tube are misaligned, sealing the container. The holes can be rectangular, circular, etc. depending on the liquid contents.
