Abstract

The novelty is the combination of (a) an inner flexible sleeve through which the wire is fed, the sleeve being surrounded by (b) an inner tube supplying inert gas and electric current; (c) an outer tube provided with insulating devices for centering tube (b), leaving an annular space for fume extn.; (d) a diffuser mounted on tube (b) for supplying inert gas to the torch outlet nozzle; (e) a tubular outer hood connected to the annular space, and suction employed for fume extn. The torch is of simple, inexpensive construction, permitting rapidly assembly or dismantling of the torch.
