Abstract

The multiple pipe coupler has two flange plates (12, 14) which can be attached to the ends of the two pipe bundles which are to be coupled together. At least one plate has a sealing disc (22) which encircles the individual pipe openings (16) and is secured against radial displacement on the front surface (27) of the plate. Radially projecting strips (26) are provided symmetrically on the edges of the flange plates whereby separate strip-like clamping parts can be slid over the abutting strips of the assembled pipe coupler. The edge strips are wedge-shaped in cross-section and when abutted forms an enlarged triangular wedge which becomes broader in a radial direction. The clamping groove in the clamping strip is shaped to accommodate the edge strips. The pipes which are so coupled may be used to house e.g. supply current lines, telephone cables etc.
