Abstract

The sprayer consists of two half booms attached to a frame (C) by means of stays and struts. Frame (C) consists of a frame work of tubes, and pivots freely about point (D). It is suspended by a rod (G) attached at its bottom end to point (D) of the frame and at its top to point (E) on the chassis which acts as a pendulum shaft. A hydraulic ram (F) is fitted between the head of the rod and the boom frame, forming a triangular displacement system between the point of attachment of the jack to the frame and the two hinge points (D, E). The jack acts as a dynamic damper against lateral forces, or can incline the boom for work on uneven ground.
