Abstract

For each phase a pulse-duration pause-duration modulator controlled by the associated phase current, which is intended to measure the active power, cuts through the associated phase voltage and, when it is intended to measure the reactive power, cuts through the voltage proportional to the phase voltage and lagging by 90 deg. to an input for active power and/or reactive power. The voltage lagging by 90 deg. is obtained from the interlinked voltage lagging behind the phase voltage by 90 deg. The components for measuring reactive power can be designed as an additional slide-in unit.
