Abstract

The printing station comprises a printing base (10) in the form of a curved guide surface (10') whose highest point is approx. at table height and a tabulatable printing mechanism (11) which is arranged above the rpiting base and has its printing elements working from above downwards. The drive elements (20) for transporting the paper web acts solely on the web between the printing stating (10, 11) and the reception bin (16). A lead-in chute (17) is positioned between the printing station and the supply stack (13) in which the guide-and braking-elements for the paper web are housed. The chute can be swivelled into one position in which it guides the web in approx. vertical direction from the supply.
