Abstract

The rear-view mirror for crash helmets comprises one or more mirrors (11) which are mounted on the helmet (1) by a movable holder which can be readily removed in the event of an accident. The mounting is adjustable such that a rear view is possible both at the sides and above the helmet whilst the forward vision of the wearer is not in any way obscured. For the rear view at the sides of holder has a U-shaped mounting bracket (4) with arms converging towards the helmet (1). The ends of the arms can be fatened movably or directly to the helmet or the the peak. In this way the rider does not have to run round to view the road behind and the mirror automatically follows the movement of the rider and not of the motorcycle.
