Abstract

The stabiliser for ladders consists of a hollow, square-section tube which is curved round into a semi-circle, and provided with a rubber anti-skid cap on each end. Onto this tubular foot is mounted a supporting guide angle-iron. This angle-iron has a hole in its base into which is inserted a pin, linking the foot to the angle-iron. In order to allow movement to the right and left, there is an opening in the angle-iron. A supporting clamp is also provided on the angle-iron to wedge the ladder in position. A collar holds the foot of the ladder on the angle-iron, the two being locked together by means of a threaded key.
