Abstract

The machine transports and guides photographic film and similar material, having a friction drive roller mechanism and guides bearing against the film edges. The drive mechanism has one or more pairs of friction rollers (8-11) pressed against each other with the film (5) trapped between them. The distance between the guides (6, 7) corresponds to the strip width. Guides and rollers are so positioned that the film bears against the guides only on its edges. The guides can be in the form of Shaped tracks, or formed by a body containing a passage of elliptical section, the major axis of which is equal to the strip width.
