Abstract

The watch case is made of moulded plastics, so as to form a shell for receiving a watch movement and an overlying zone, which is sufficiently thin to be transparent, acting as the watch glass. The latter transparent zone forming the watch glass has a thickness of between 1 and 3 millimetres. The watch case is pref. made from a polyacrylic or polycarbonate resin, having a good thermal resistance, e.g. makrolon (RTM).
