Abstract

a machine for forming cylindrical cheese containers has a conveyor which moves rings (1) for the box sides in front of a plate. An air blast positions a ring in one of four cutouts in this plate, the operation being repeated as the plate turns. Behind the plates are four arms each with a suction head and rotating about a centre. Bottom discs (3) are picked up from a stack and, as the arms rotate, contact a glueing former. Each disc is placed inside a ring, the glued edges bearing against a ring bottom flange. Finally, the completed box is removed by another air blast directing it down a chute.
