Abstract

The apparatus controls cyclic operations consisting of successive phases whose duration must be proportional to that of the cycle. The output of an adjustable frequency saw tooth generator is compared with a voltage taken from at least one voltage divider (41, 42, 43). The signal emenating from the comparator triggers the successive phase modes of operation. The maximum tension of the saw tooth voltage triggers the cycle change. The outputs of the comparator are followed by a monortable device which generates control pulses for the phase mode and cycle change. These signals are applied to a four phase artificial resperator. The first signal of each cycle triggers exhalation and pumping stop. The second signal triggers exhalation and therefore pump depression. The third signal triggers the part inhalation phase, and pumping is stopped. The fourth signal triggers the cycle change and inhalation and the pumping in compression.
